How to get the Veteran achievement in Mafia Wars?
What is the best strategy for achieving the Veteran achievement in Mafia Wars which is earned by participating in 500 wars?
When you start your own war does that count towards the 500?

I would advise that you grow your mafia, even if that means going to the mafia wars forum and looking for people to be in your mafia. Once you build up your numbers, there should be a lot of wars to participate in (check the feeds constantly).
