The thing about having lots of people in your mafia is that when you do a job you gain experience for you AND your mafia. So if you are in a lot of your friends' mafias then their experience points will help you to gain levels as well. so find a friend of yours that's high and ask to join up with them or do some searching on ppl who aren't your friend to be in your mafia too- I've found most people will gladly accept mafia friends just for that reason. hope this made at least a little sense!!
